NSW: Hot and windy weekend conditions have firefighters on edge

Fire crews across most of New South Wales are bracing for the outbreak of bushfires
.. as scorching conditions set in across the state.

Temperatures will soar from today .. and remain high until late on Sunday .. when a
southerly change is expected to bring cooler conditions.

Humidity's expected drop to single digits in some areas .. with hot wind gusts up to
50 kilometres an hour.

The mercury will range from the mid 30s to the mid 40s in western and far western New
South Wales and the Riverina.
