NSW: HSC top students include dancing boys and sibling rivalry

DILIP SUNDER RAJ has achieved his goal today .. becoming the first Macquarie Fields
High School student to top the NSW Higher School Certificate in two-unit mathematics.

Macquarie Fields is regarded as one of Sydney's tougher suburbs .. but DILIP says it
was the culture of his school and community that helped him to succeed.

He's one of 113 students who've received awards today from Premier MORRIS IEMMA ..

for coming first in one of 135 subjects offered in this year's HSC.

Also being congratulated was Colo High School student LUKE PRUNTY .. the first boy
on record to top the HSC dance course.

He's now off to continue his studies at the Victorian College of the Arts.

From six am (AEDT) tomorrow .. all 67-thousand-189 students who sat this year's exams
will receive their HSC results on the internet .. or via text or phone.
