NSW: Teen charged over Wollongong murder
An 18-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of a Wollongong man who went missingalmost three years ago.
In the lead up to National Missing Person's Week, a strike force of police officersfrom the Wollongong Local Area Command reviewed the investigation into the disappearanceof STEVEN TARLINTON.
Mr TARLINTON was last seen on October the 23rd, 2000 and his body has never been found.
Police say the strike force re-interviewed a number of witnesses and also pursued severalnew lines of inquiry.
They say as a result, a Mt Keira teenager was yesterday charged with murder.
He was refused bail to appear in Wollongong Local Court later today.
